Cason is constantly developing its digital products, as a result of which several of its devices will be available with LTE CAT M1 communication from the end of 2022.
The prototypes completed in 2020 were successfully tested in all areas. In the following one-and-a-half-year period, the manufacturer’s alpha tests, and the beta tests carried out together with our partners in a real environment, brought outstanding results.
In the future, in addition to 2G, NBIoT and LoRa based communication, most of our digital data transmission devices will also be available with LTE CAT M1 communication technology on the domestic and international markets.
Cat-M1, like NBIoT and LoRa networks, is also an LPWAN (low-power wide-area network) technology.
Similar to NB-IoT, CAT M1 communication also ensures low power consumption of devices, but CAT M1 can transmit a larger amount of data at a higher speed.
The CAT M1 communication technology also supports cell handover, which makes it suitable for example tracking moving vehicles.
In addition to the larger bandwidth enables remote firmware updates and upgrades of devices, as well as parameterization tasks, to be performed faster and with greater security from Cason’s central device management solution.
The bandwidth of Cat-M1 provides enough speed to be a suitable alternative to replace 2G or 3G IoT devices in the long term.
